Bosque del Apache Wildlife Refuge
Bosque del Apache, meaning “woods of the Apache,” is located in West-central New Mexico.  It is a major stopover and wintering spot for thousands of migratory waterfowl.
The spectacle occurs early, every morning, as the Snowgeese and the Sandhill Crane leave their overnight resting areas for their daytime feeding locations – then again, in late afternoon as they return.
